In my search for creating this D*igital Garden—*and upon coming the the obvious realization of the newness of this form of media to myself, and how it differs from the short form content I see on TikTok and Instagram—I realized just how many forms of media there are avaliable on the internet, and how many more crop up every day. This led me to the realization: there are so many forums of the internet that we’ve yet you encounter. and with nearly 8 billion people on the internet theres bound to be billions of online spaces curated towardls then—for better or worse.
The internet started as—and still is—as a way to share Ideas quickly. when the Internet was a baby this use was inarguable. then, the internet evolved into a place for people to connect beyond simply sharing ideas and infromation. enter social media with the birth of modern social media people were able to share pictures and videos and audio all showing off theor personal brand. but it’s also worth noting the rise of uniformity
